Today's website of the fortnight is OpenHistoricalMap. OpenHistoricalMap is essentially OpenStreetMap for the past. Rather than adding current data, mappers add historical data. It seems rather barren right now, but the rate of editing is fairly high, so it should hopefully get better with time.
